How it Works
The TRIEA System is an environmentally friendly all–electric water-to-water heat pump capable of heating and cooling simultaneously and without any drop off in performance due to outside air temperatures. The system can produce chilled water to the freezing point and hot water to temperatures in excess of 150°F.
The TRIEA System extracts heat from a tank of plain water and increases that heat in a vapor compression loop and stores the heated water in a separate tank. The tank that has had its heat extracted, the “cold tank”, is available to work as the source for cooling space. The heated tank, the “hot tank”, works the same way to heat space and the domestic hot water supply.
